resetting a bit

This week has felt like a combination of things that don't actually blend well—the week started with having to evacuate because the water began rising pretty significantly over the weekend. We were in a small house with more people than should've fit, but it flowed well after we sat down and made a plan.

We headed back home on Wednesday because the waters went down about as fast as they rose. Everyone was thankful to be able to settle back into their own beds and a little bit of a more normal routine.

A group of four student missionaries got here yesterday and were so excited to have them. They're going to be kept busy because we recently moved into a new church building that needs some special TLC.

A lot of the kids are visiting their families during the school break but they're going to start getting back this week. It's always a good time for us to reset and see things from a new perspective. We have new ideas that we want to implement when they come back that align more with what we want for the kids.

We're all constantly growing and everyone's trying to keep up with it. We want to make sure that we never stop moving and evolving with the new things that we learn. There are times we get stuck in our old ways and we don't actually want to go through the uncomfortable to get to the other side.

During the school break, I've had the opportunity to talk to some of the kids who stayed about questions they have about the Bible. It's been so interesting to see what they're curious about and how they're learning to connect with God on a personal level.

I'm going to try to use these last few days before the kids all come back to make sure my own life is in order. To make sure I'm heading in the direction God is leading and to see if I'm prioritizing the right things.

You're a good nut, Hann. God uses you in ways you don't even know and I'm grateful to get to work alongside you!
